While not practising as a solicitor, Sean has applied legal principles extensively in real-world business contexts, including contract negotiation, employment law compliance, corporate governance, and regulated service delivery. His legal capability is embedded in executive accountability and practical application.
His strong cross-disciplinary legal literacy enables him to know enough about the law to recognise risk, test assumptions, and ask the right questions of specialist legal advisers. This capability has enabled efficient negotiations, sharper advice, and materially better commercial outcomes across thousands of contracts and complex transactions.
Commercial Contracting & Negotiation
Sean has led the negotiation, drafting oversight, and execution of thousands of contracts and transactions, ranging from standard customer agreements to complex, bespoke arrangements, including:
Multi-million-dollar contracts (SaaS, technology, services, government, etc)
Strategic partnership and channel agreements
Enterprise customer agreements with regulated and government-adjacent organisations

Operating as a board-appointed CEO for over a decade, as well as many other senior executive roles, Sean has been directly accountable for contract risk, commercial terms, pricing structures, liability allocation, termination rights, and performance obligations. He has routinely negotiated contract terms with enterprise customers, professional services firms, unions, and strategic partners, balancing legal risk with commercial outcomes and growth objectives.
