Sean Wilson brings a practical, experience-driven approach to government relations, shaped by roles both inside government and across highly regulated industries. His background enables him to navigate policy, stakeholder expectations, and organisational priorities with confidence and clarity.
As a Senior Advisor to a Member of Parliament, Sean worked at the centre of government decision-making—researching policy issues, preparing briefings, and supporting executive processes. This experience provided a strong understanding of how government operates, from policy development through to implementation.
In the private sector, Sean has led large-scale engagement with government stakeholders, including transforming national government sales portfolios and working closely with departments, agencies, and international offices. He understands how to align commercial objectives with regulatory frameworks while building trusted, long-term relationships.
His government relations expertise is further strengthened by extensive governance experience, including service on more than 20 boards and committees, many involving ministerial or public sector engagement. Through these roles, he has contributed to policy discussions, organisational oversight, and cross-sector collaboration.
Earlier in his career, Sean also held IT leadership roles within government, delivering major projects and managing complex operations. This operational insight gives him an “inside-out” perspective on how government systems function.
Sean integrates government relations into broader business strategy, ensuring organisations remain compliant, well-positioned, and connected. His focus is on achieving practical outcomes, aligning stakeholders, and creating sustainable value across public and private sectors.
